Alexis graduated from Detroit’s Cass Tech High School and is now a student at Wayne State University, majoring in Psychology. She says she may want to work as a child psychologist. She’s spent time working with high school kids about self-esteem, peer pressure and time management and found that very rewarding. In her spare time, she enjoys reading.

Did this last night. January has been an ugly month but hopefully things will pick up. I’m feeling hurt, partly over "relationship" issues, low self esteem, feeling a failure but I just don’t know whether I want to share this in detail with anybody.
First of all, there’s no better way to start your Saturday morning off than with a little bit of drum & bass.
Secondly, I’m going to go on a bit of a rant here…and…it’s about MEN!!!
Let’s just say I’ve had a lifetime of bad experiences with men. When I broke up with Chris in May I promised I was going to change. I was going to work on my self-esteem and my body-image issues because frankly I was deeply depressed.
I think Dr. Phil is a mega-creep but there is one thing that he has said and it’s always stuck with me. He said that "we teach people how to treat us". Meaning that if we treat ourselves like shit than other people will too.
DAMN! it’s true!
So, here i am today – searching out the right guy. I just end up getting ditched by them all. Soo…where are the good men? The men who are willing to go 50/50 with you on a relationship? The men who aren’t afraid to ask you out? Who aren’t afraid to make conversation? The men who actually think about how their actions might make you feel? hmmmm?! let me tell you, i’m starting to think they’re not in Toronto.
I’ve been told I’m a very intimidating person, the kind that most guys are terrified of.
hahah. GREAT! There has to be a few out there who can handle the wrath-of-Unfurled?
basically, I’m going to be a crazy, single, cat-lady for the rest of my life.
except I hate cats.
on that note….
have a great freakin’ weekend. I, myself, have had two seperate plans with two seperate guys broken (by them!) so I’m making like a tree…

More useful internet tools people are spending quality time building: the Slut-O-Meter. Apparently I’m not a slut. But adding to my bad internet self esteem over the last week is the comment there that says "Ha U are unpopular." Wonderful.
In other news, I would DIE to see the kids on Wall Street giving the elbow bump to avoid getting the avian flu. That would be rad.
